Fair Trade Bangladesh

To ensure our workshops are easy to reach on foot, we have organized them away from the center. With a secure income, KL Global is supporting families’ futures, allowing children to go to school and families to buy livestock. We also provide our employees with basic skills in reading and writing. Childcare during work time is also available in company nurseries.

In the poorest provinces of Bangladesh, Rangpur and Bora, KL Global Procurement is providing jobs and securing livelihoods with its Classical Handmade Products BD. We particularly value environmentally friendly production processes and avoid pollutive raw materials.

The basic idea of the project is manufacturing goods using waste materials from the local, regional textile industry. We also use local plants which regenerate incredibly quickly thanks to the tropical climate. A large portion of the goods are woven by hand or using hand looms.
